Awareness of Angels' Place in Your Prayers

We are grateful for your emotional, financial, and spiritual support

Hello Friends:
Time blurs many memories, but I believe I first met Ron Fornier while we were students at the University of Detroit. I can't say we were close, but we shared interests and our careers intersected over the years. So, I was intrigued when I saw that Ron had written a book, "Love That Boy," about fatherhood and the challenges of parenting a child with Asperger's syndrome.

Having grown up with three cousins impacted by special needs, many of the themes in the book were familiar to me - loving parents, struggling with traditional expectations.

Ten years after reading the book, I am blessed to experience shades of this story every day with the residents of Angels' Place.

During Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, what can we share with YOU that might enlighten or inform? If you are reading this newsletter, you too likely have intimate connections with an individual with special needs.

If you would please share this newsletter with someone who might appreciate learning about people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Perhaps our best encouragement is for you to be aware of Angels' Place in your prayers:
  • For our residents: Fill their lives with meaningful connections and reveal Your love in powerful ways. Assure them of their value and purpose, that they "Are Enough" and may they find solace in Your presence.
  • For our sick residents and their families: May Your healing touch bring relief and restoration to their bodies and souls. May the comfort and advocacy of the Angels' Place family help them. Grant them the strength to endure and the humility to accept help and Your will. Fill their hearts with hope and peace as they trust in Your love and care.
  • For our caregivers: Strengthen and sustain them as they care for others. Fill them with compassion, grace, and peace. May Your presence be their source of comfort and strength in their lives. Bless their families.
  • For our benefactors: We pray that through their empathy and compassion, Your love and presence is revealed. Help them feel the impact of their generosity. Assure them that they are instruments of Your love.
  • For our board and administrators: Grant them wisdom and clarity as they seek Your guidance to make difficult decisions impacting the beautifully complex individuals entrusted to us. Guide them through the discernment to do Your will.
  • For our guardians: We pray that they be rewarded for their unconditional love. Strengthen and support them in this vital role, grant them patience and compassion. May they find moments of rest and renewal in Your presence.
And we ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

On behalf of the women and men of Angels' Place, thank you for your emotional, financial, and spiritual support.

Chief Executive Officer
